Getting ready for kindy is exhausting and requires a lie down for those involved.

'Bob' lending a hand once again.

All dressed up and off to town.

Ruby's bike seat arrived. We've taken them for a ride along the lake foreshore and they just love it.

Freaky storm at the top of the lake

Churchie doing the back fence. Vege garden is awesome. Our yams are currently being frosted so we're counting the days until we can dig them out.

Amber's first day at kindy. Of course mum cried but our child didn't have a care in the world. So much to explore!

All was quiet upstairs and we were expecting some wall art but no! Having a great old time on Ruby's spare bed reading books.

Interesting hair day. What happens if mum's got the scissors and you move.
Here you go Rosie. They finally sat still long enough.

A sing-a-long with dad

Not entirely happy with the hair

making a break for it with the liquorice

Hooray! Amber's 1st birthday

The wombat cake. Learnt the lesson after the red food colouring incident from Ruby's cake so everything's chocolate, plain or fruit flavoured now.

maybe the entire piece WILL fit

A bit of chalk art. Another moment of panic from the parents fearing wall art but thankfully a wise investment by dad.

We bought our first bike seat. If you're not going to sleep then you will be the guinea pig.

Can you see the smile!

Aussie Amber enjoying herself.
Churchie says we're getting t-shirts made.

With nanny shazza

starting the puffer fish early

After days of trying, finally able to
get onto Nanny shazza's knee

Warbirds over wanaka. This was just the best thing ever. An F1-11 doing a dump and burn. Takes 9 minutes for it to turn up from Christchurch. Churchie and I had to cover the girls ears so we're like an old deaf married couple

The NZ airforce choppers doing the craziest stunts

A hercules sneaking up..

and doing a touch and go. Amazing
that we were so close

NZ Day celebrations. Unfortunately Ruby was disqualified from the egg and spoon race as she peeled and ate her egg before they had even lined up. It was a tasty egg though.

The spud growing champion. Ruby won Lake Hawea's heaviest spud in 'The Great Spud Dig Competition'. It weighed in at 517g.

out in the vege patch

counting the dusty sheep with Granny P

higher dad!

Here we go.

Ruby and the ruby sized goat at the A&P show. We got to pat a lot of thing that day.

What happens to dad when you buy your kid her first hairbands.

Ruby waiting for the goose to go 'honk'. Churchie shot 5 (he still amazes me. We've also been on a hot date rabbit shooting!!) and surprisingly it was quite tasty.

All in at the pool party at Patearoa.

Mmmm....tasty ears. The very sweet natured Lizzy takes a lot but makes up for it with all the stolen biscuits and licks when I'm not watching.

Happily donging away.

Making a break for it.

After a month of dragging herself aound the house (land swimming) Amber decided to not only crawl but to start standing!

Amber and golly. Hooray for Amber
as our lovely child now moves. Yes she
rolls and now drags herself along the
carpet. We weren't expecting this as
at her 8 month checkup she weighed
in at 10.5kg.

Ruby's turned into a great little helper
and this may explain why she's as
dense as the moon

we might be getting in early..
Safety precaution for when the
sugar kicks in

Amber and her namesake.
She will be quite disappointed to find
out it's empty. No one gets between
Churchie and good beer.
What happens when I'm left alone.
Churchie and the Kling-on.
This one is for Rosie. The best photo
of maybe 7. They just kept squirming
so you'll just have to come and see them
