September 27 and it is snowing. Good for the lake level and small people to build snowmen.

The best $3.50 investment

Ruby likes to vacuum...the carpet and Lizzy.

but she can be easily distracted

Timaru Creek. Amazing how much the lake has dropped. The very long walk back to the car in the distance. Churchie unfortunately could only carry 1.

you can see Lake Hawea in the distance.

what we found when all was quiet downstairs, to our amazement.

the shoe is almost as big as Amber but that is of little deterrent. She loves shoes just as much as Ruby does.

I love this kid. She also like the bubbles when you wash the dishes.

Can you see all the pollen from the pines. It was amazing and thankgod we don't live on the flat.

Showing dad a thing or two.

They do have a great time.

The response to Churchie after he's been away.

It has been a while and that's because these 2 keep us busy and within 5 mintes of them getting up, we look like we've been robbed. Here's Ruby and her tail. She didn't get far so it didn't unravel!

My I have big feet!

Amber and her new friend

We knew it was going to be an interesting trip from the start....
our road trip to Nelson and Christchurch so Churchie can go back to consulting from home in his company embossed flannelette pyjamas.

Feeding the eels at Hokitika

Longest suspension bridge

Ruby discovering the joys of bedsprings

'Touch the Sea' aquarium at Nelson. It was awesome aside from the stealthy manouvers of the very large sting ray wanting a pat!
We got to poke a sand shark, starfish, paua, crabs, kinna, sting rays....

Giving one of Ruby's favourite things a pat on Rabbit Island, Nelson

Rabbit Island

Chasing the ducks and ducklings at Christchurch. Can't get the fairy wings off her.

Orana Park. Our very short child got to pat and feed a very tall giraffe.

Hanging out with the whanau.

Hitching a ride with Amber.

Ruby sized elephant

Amber finally finding the correct spot.

Our little Evil Kinevil.

Getting ready for kindy is exhausting and requires a lie down for those involved.

'Bob' lending a hand once again.

All dressed up and off to town.

Ruby's bike seat arrived. We've taken them for a ride along the lake foreshore and they just love it.
